The Carabinieri’s July 2026 nationwide campaign continued with a large‑scale operation in Rome’s Tor Bella Monaca neighbourhood on 26 July. A woman under house arrest was also taken into custody for evading restrictions. The operation inspected 92 vehicles and imposed administrative sanctions for illegal electricity connections, waste dumping, immigration violations, irregular ID‑cards, and other offences. It also led to the liberation of two houses that had been illegally occupied and their return to municipal ownership. These actions illustrate the Carabinieri’s sustained effort to increase territorial presence, curb drug trafficking, enforce road‑safety and public‑order rules, and dismantle illegal activities across urban and rural Italy.
