Carabinieri Celebrate 212th Anniversary in Rovigo and Siracusa

On the 212th anniversary of Italy’s Carabinieri, two provincial ceremonies were held – one in Rovigo and another in Siracusa. The events were attended by local officials, including the Prefect of Rovigo and Colonel Dino Incarbone, commander of the Siracusa provincial Carabinieri.

In Rovigo, a wreath was laid at the fallen‑in‑line memorial, uniformed personnel marched, and specialized vehicles were displayed. Merit certificates were awarded to Carabinieri who had distinguished themselves over the past year, with particular reference to efforts against gender‑based violence and the work of specialised units such as the Labor Inspection, Forestry and anti‑sophistication teams.

In Siracusa, Colonel Incarbone presented recognitions for successful investigations into organized crime, drug and weapons trafficking, extortion and fraud, as well as for rapid interventions that saved lives. A civilian award was also given to a former Carabiniere who rescued a two‑year‑old child in 2024.
