Italian Catholic parishes mark historic anniversaries and leadership changes
The parish of Frapiero in northern Italy marked the 300th anniversary of its church with a special mass presided over by Bishop Claudio on 11 July, followed by the presentation of a commemorative volume on the church’s history.
In central Italy, Mons. Augusto Mascagna took possession of the Diocese of Pescia, delivering a homily that emphasized a renewed focus on faith and announcing a new chapter for the local Catholic community.
Both events underscore the ongoing vitality of Italy’s Catholic institutions, celebrating longstanding traditions while also ushering in new leadership.
