Italian Catholic youth programs launch summer charity events

The Diocese of Foligno will hold its Diocesan Day of Oratories and Animators on 25 June 2026. The programme includes a morning itinerary through Franciscan sites in the historic centre, games for children, and an evening orienteering competition for youth animators, with support from the municipality, Caritas and local organisations.

In the Cremona diocese, the Federation of Oratories and Caritas are promoting a “Summer of Charity” during the Grest weeks. The initiative backs the Borsa di Sant’Omobono solidarity fund – which helped over 700 families in 2025 – and organises a long‑term food‑collection drive, educational workshops and activities linked to the themes of St Francis of Assisi.

Both events aim to foster charitable values among young Catholics, combine spiritual reflection with community service, and involve local parishes, volunteers and municipal partners.
