Italian Catholic youth weekend and pilgrimage draw faithful participants

Nine young people from the Diocese of Lamezia Terme spent a two‑day vocational weekend at the Madonna di Porto sanctuary in Gimigliano, Catanzaro province. The event, organized by the diocesan pastoral office under Don Angelo Cerra and supported by deacon Mario Arcuri, featured a renewal of baptismal vows in the river and a video‑call with the Clarisse sisters of Scigliano.

On 18 June, a group from the pastoral units of Santa Cristina and Sant’Ansano gathered at the Madonna di Fatima sanctuary in San Vittorino Romano, near Rome. Priest Don Domenico Cannizzaro celebrated Mass, highlighted the importance of the Lord’s Prayer and led the faithful in prayer before the group travelled by bus to visit the Renaissance Villa d’Este in Tivoli.
