Italian cities host events for the Giro d'Italia per la Pace

Various Italian cities are hosting events as part of the ‘Giro d’Italia per la Pace’, a movement centered around the Lampada della Pace (Lamp of Peace). This initiative, organized by the National Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights, connects different municipalities through symbolic journeys and community engagement.

In Cuneo, a series of 20 events will take place starting September 14, featuring music, cinema, and dialogue. The program includes a ‘Peace Caravan’ for primary and nursery school children and will culminate on December 31 with the 59th National March for Peace. The Lamp of Peace is scheduled to arrive in Cuneo on September 20.

Treviso will host its leg of the initiative on September 19. The day will feature the Lamp of Peace traveling from Zero Branco to Quinto di Treviso before being delivered to the Treviso City Council. The program includes five ‘Peace Workshops’ (Cantieri di Pace) held in different neighborhoods, focusing on themes such as social justice, education, and collective participation.
