Italian coastal towns demand clarity on rescue and public safety services

In San Vincenzo, the Avanti San Vincenzo group has formally asked the municipal service provider, San Vincenzo Servizi, for detailed information on the beach‑rescue plan at Parco di Rimigliano. The request seeks the number, locations and operating hours of rescue stations, after an inspection on 5 July 2026 observed that station 9bis displayed only a red flag with no lifeguard present.

In nearby Lavinio, the municipal council held an extraordinary meeting on security following a citizens’ letter that decried rising crime, urban decay, public intoxication, drug‑dealing and frequent disturbances. The letter, submitted after 587 days of the current administration, urges concrete actions to improve safety for residents and families.
