Italian communities host religious festivals and cultural commemorations

Various religious and cultural commemorations are taking place in Italian communities. In Montacuto, a photographic exhibition will be held from August 28 to 30 to mark a century of devotion to the Madonna della Guardia. The exhibition uses archival and family photographs to document the social and religious evolution of the village since the 1920s.

In Arcidosso, the Arcidò festival features the procession of the Madonna delle Grazie on August 28. This tradition commemorates the 1728 coronation of the image. The event includes Eucharistic celebrations and musical performances. Additionally, as part of the 2026 program, a dialogue titled ‘Reconciliation in the spiritual and human story of Saint Francis’ will be held. The discussion, featuring Cardinal Augusto Paolo Lojudice, focuses on the legacy of Saint Francis regarding peace and fraternity.
