Italian community initiatives launch to support youth and social awareness
Various community initiatives are launching in Italy to support youth development and social awareness. In Turin, the fourth edition of the “Giornate della Legalità” will take place from October 8 to 11, 2026. Under the theme “Una società si-cura,” the event will open normally closed institutions—including courts, barracks, and prisons—to the public. The program features over 45 appointments and 80 guests, with a specific focus on younger generations through the “Legalità Futura” initiative, which includes workshops on economic legality and social justice.
In Mestre, the social cooperative CO. GE. S. Don Lorenzo Milani has launched the “Open Space” project to address rising mental health and social challenges among adolescents. Supported by Intesa Sanpaolo through the Formula program, the initiative aims to raise 100,000 euros via crowdfunding by the end of 2026. The project seeks to provide a free, protected space for teenagers to access emotional support, study areas, and digital workshops, responding to a significant increase in neuro-psychiatric consultations for young people in the local area.
