Italian community initiatives promote blood and plasma donation

Various initiatives in Italy are focusing on promoting the importance of blood and plasma donation through community engagement and sports.

In the Teramo region, the sixth edition of the ‘Metti in moto il dono’ event was organized by Fidas Nazionale and Fidas Teramo. The initiative features outdoor activities and a route between Teramo and Civitella del Tronto to raise awareness about the necessity of regular donations for hospitals and patients.

In Liguria, the Como Women football team visited the Fidas Imperia collection unit during their training retreat. The visit, organized in cooperation with local entrepreneur Denis Muca, aimed to sensitize the public to the value of blood donation. Some staff members participated by making direct donations to support the community.
