Italian Community Meeting held in Porto Alegre

The III Meeting of the Italian Community of Rio Grande do Sul is being held at the Dante Barone Auditorium in the Legislative Assembly of Rio Grande do Sul, in Porto Alegre. Organized by the Committee of Italians Abroad (Comites-RS), the event serves to strengthen ties between the local Italian-descendant population and institutional representatives.

Luis Cavalieri, the newly appointed Consul-General of Italy in Porto Alegre, is participating in the event to engage directly with community leaders and associations. Cavalieri, a diplomat with 24 years of experience, aims to use the meeting to present himself and foster dialogue across different regions of the state.

The program also features entrepreneurial insights, including a lecture by César Cini, director of Cinex. Cini is expected to discuss innovation and his family's business trajectory, which includes connections to Monastier di Treviso in the Veneto region of Italy.
