Rai trims successor list for 'Chi l'ha visto?' after Sciarelli exits

After 22 years as presenter, Federica Sciarelli is leaving the long‑running Rai 3 investigative show "Chi l’ha visto?". The public broadcaster has decided to keep the role internal, narrowing the field to four journalists who already work on the programme: Veronica Briganti, Francesco Paolo Del Re, Raffaella Griggi and Chiara Cazzaniga. The move is presented as a continuity strategy, avoiding an external hire and preserving the format’s established style. All candidates are experienced reporters and correspondents for the show, familiar with its live‑feed mechanics, audience interaction and the delicate work with families of missing persons. Chiara Cazzaniga has publicly said she does not feel suited to host the programme, but the choice is still pending. Rai aims to announce the final decision soon, with the new season scheduled to launch on 23 September 2026.

The internal shortlist follows weeks of speculation about external personalities, which have now been discarded in favour of staff already embedded in the editorial team.
