Italian Culture Ministry Grants PAC 2026 Funding to Senigallia and Ravenna Projects
The Ministry of Culture’s Piano per l’Arte Contemporanea (PAC) 2026 program selected 26 projects for national funding. One winner is the city of Senigallia’s proposal "QUASI NULLA" by artist Giulia Marchi, which will be installed at the Rotonda a Mare and accompanied by school‑based educational activities. The work will later be shown in Rome and Bologna and will be published by Quodlibet.
Another PAC 2026 award goes to the Museum of Contemporary Art of Ravenna (Mar) for the project "Geografie del mosaico contemporaneo" curated by Daniele Torcellini. It funds a new monumental mosaic by Pakistani‑American artist Shahzia Sikander, tentatively titled "Shamsa," to become part of the museum’s Contemporary Mosaic Collection. The commission follows Ravenna’s recent Biennale of Contemporary Mosaic, which highlighted the city’s role in the field.
