Italian Cycling Grand Prix in Fiorenzuola Highlights Omnium Wins by Ilya Savekin and Chiara Consonni
The Gran Premi Internazionali di Fiorenzuola – 6 Giorni delle Rose Bianche concluded its third day with elite omnium titles claimed by Ilya Savekin in the men’s competition and Chiara Consonni in the women’s. Savekin secured 122 points, outpacing Gleb Syritsa and Nikita Tsvetkov, while Consonni finished with 111 points ahead of Anna Hicks and Helena Odette Lynch.
Earlier, the second day featured a range of sprint and endurance events. Mattia Predomo repeated his success in the men’s speed race and Steffie Van der Peet defended the women’s speed title. In U23 categories, Palina Konrad won the women’s points race, Daniil Zarakovskiy triumphed in the men’s scratch, and the Madison U23 crown went to the Italian duo Matteo Fiorin and Christian Fantini. Other notable results included victories by Linda Sanarini in the U23 elimination and strong performances by Italian riders across the programme.
