Fondazione Honegger in Albino completes €15 million renovation, upgrades senior‑care facilities

On 14 June, the renovated Fondazione Honegger R.S.A. ETS in Albino, Italy, was inaugurated. The €15 million project, carried out by MIR Group, upgraded two structures – the protected care unit on Via Cappuccini and the residential Casa Honegger on Via Crespi – improving energy performance, environmental sustainability and comfort for residents and staff.

The works, executed between October 2024 and December 2025, brought the buildings from energy class D to A3 and from B to A4, cutting consumption and emissions by 60 % and 76.7 % respectively. Renovations were completed while keeping the facilities fully operational, ensuring uninterrupted care for over 200 residents.

The ceremony was attended by Bishop Francesco Beschi, regional housing assessor Paolo Franco, Albino mayor Daniele Esposito, Selvino mayor Andrea Santopietro, foundation president Delia Camozzi and MIR Group CEO Raffaele Marrazzo, who highlighted the project as a replicable model for Italy’s socio‑health sector.
