Italian Football Federation sets July deadline for Euro 2032 stadium selection

President of the Italian Football Federation Giovanni Malagò told a meeting with sports minister Andrea Abodi that by 31 July the federation must receive certified responses on the five stadiums to be proposed to UEFA for Euro 2032, which Italy will co‑host with Turkey. He noted the involvement of stadium commissioner Massimo Sessa and UEFA Euro 2032 director Michele Uva in the discussions.

Cagliari’s new stadium, now in the final administrative phase, is among the cities competing for a venue. Malagò said the deadline is an opportunity for the country and that additional stadiums could be added to the initial five if necessary. He affirmed, "Entro il 31 luglio ci aspettiamo risposte certificate e l'Uefa su questo ha scadenze obbligate," adding that the push for the major event accelerates infrastructure development.
