Italian health agencies launch preventive screenings and new patient‑association agenda
Regional president Antonello Aurigemma announced that the Lazio regional council’s free health‑promotion programme “Un consiglio in salute” will be integrated with the Rome Capital Rally from 2‑5 July. The initiative will offer free screenings for breast, cervical, colorectal cancers, cholesterol, vitamin D, posture, physiotherapy and HPV vaccination, along with blood‑pressure, glucose checks, nutritional advice and ECGs. Services will be provided at multiple rally venues in Rome and Frascati in partnership with local health authorities (ASL RM1, RM2, RM6) and professional orders of doctors, pharmacists, physiotherapists and nurses.
In Milan, Johnson & Johnson presented the third edition of its Patient Association Academy, unveiling the strategic agenda for 2026‑2028. More than 40 patient organisations—representing roughly 16 million patients—joined health institutions and stakeholders to discuss priorities such as strengthening territorial care, guaranteeing equitable access to innovation, incorporating patient perspectives into health‑technology assessments and expanding involvement in clinical research. The agenda aims to give patient groups a stronger voice in shaping Italy’s national health system, with support from Lombardy’s regional health department.
