Italian health authorities announce medical recruitment drives
Various Italian health authorities have announced recruitment initiatives to address staffing needs. In Lombardy, the ASST di Lodi has opened a public competition for two permanent midwife positions. One of these roles is reserved for personnel on leave from the Armed Forces, with an application deadline set for September 27, 2026.
In Calabria, the ASP di Vibo Valentia is seeking specialist doctors for fixed-term professional assignments through February 4, 2027. The selection process covers eight disciplines: Anesthesia and Resuscitation, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Urology, Nephrology and Dialysis, Neurology, Radiodiagnostics, Emergency Medicine, and Psychiatry.
Under regional law, these assignments may also include retired doctors to support emergency services and territorial care. Selected professionals will be compensated at a gross rate of 80 euros per hour, with a maximum commitment of 40 hours per week.
