Italian health unions demand unpaid bonuses, reject mandatory doctor hours

The CISL FP, FIALS, Nursing Up and Nursind unions sent a note to the management of ASL Napoli 3 Sud asking for clarification and payment of the productivity balances for 2024 and 2025 that were omitted from June 2026 pay slips, and for the advance of the 2026 productivity amount. The unions cite a June 19, 2026 determination and a June 17 meeting that indicated the sums should have been paid, and request an immediate check and settlement.

In Molise, the regional branch of the SNAMI doctors’ union rejected a national proposal that would impose a mandatory six‑hour weekly work requirement on all family doctors. President Federico Di Renzo argued that the measure does not address the chronic shortage of doctors, undermines professional autonomy and could harm the quality of care. The union calls for a separate hourly‑based contract and for improvements to make the profession more attractive, while expressing willingness to discuss reforms with authorities.
