Italian health workers suspend strike in Tuscany as Taranto declares agitation
In the Tuscany region, the ASL Toscana Sud‑Est health authority suspended the state of agitation after union representatives from NurSind and Nursing Up reported that the employer accepted all their demands and scheduled a series of meetings, crediting the Prefecture’s mediation.
In southern Italy, the FIALS union officially proclaimed a state of agitation for ASL Taranto, demanding an immediate negotiation table. The union condemned recent unilateral cuts to resources for additional services, warning of possible department closures, longer waiting lists, heightened pressure on staff and reliance on overtime rather than new hires.
