Italian healthcare associations hold awareness events in Messina and Savigliano

Various Italian associations held events focused on healthcare awareness and patient dignity. In Messina, the association Semplice…MENTE Insieme ODV participated in the nineteenth stage of Alzheimer Fest at Villa Dante. The event focused on dementia awareness and provided a platform for discussing assistance for fragile individuals and their families. Presented initiatives included cognitive stimulation, music therapy, and Doll Therapy to improve the quality of life for those with cognitive impairment.

In Savigliano, the association La Cura nello Sguardo hosted a sold-out event titled ‘ScegliAMO con Cura’ regarding end-of-life choices and self-determination. The session addressed Advance Healthcare Directives (DAT) and the importance of informed health decisions. The event featured discussions on the dignity of the person and included video testimonies from hospice settings to highlight the experiences of patients and caregivers.
