Italian hospitals receive art and furniture donations to humanise patient care
Eighteen paintings were donated to the obstetrics and gynecology ward of the Mazzini Hospital in Teramo. The artworks, provided by the HEART gallery together with Urban RAW and Villa di Piano Grande, aim to make the ward’s environment more welcoming for patients, families and staff as part of the ASL Teramo’s broader human‑isation programme.
In Grosseto, the Misericordia Hospital received 37 new chairs from the volunteer group Insieme in Rosa. Twenty‑two ergonomic seats were placed in the emergency department and fifteen in the gastro‑enterology waiting area, valued at around €10,000. Commemorative plaques bearing the slogan “Where there is attention for people, there is already care” accompany the donation, underscoring the focus on patient comfort and dignity.
