Italian Mountain and Landscape Education Programs Launch 2025‑2026 Training Initiatives

From late August 2026, teachers from across Italy will attend a three‑day training course for the eighteenth edition of the "Scuola e Montagna" project. Organized by the Province of Trento’s Education Service and the TSM‑ADM Accademia della Montagna, the program will be held in Val di Ledro and Alto Garda and aims to equip educators with knowledge on alpine environments, climate change, and territorial management.

In June, the Club Alpino Italiano (CAI) brought a similar mountain‑focused program to the Franco Storelli secondary school in Gualdo Tadino. Coordinated by Professor Valeria Anastasi, the sessions covered safe hiking practices, environmental respect, and a hands‑on climbing wall experience, featuring CAI members such as Marco Scassellati and Lucia Sabbatini.

Earlier, from 26‑30 August 2025, the Scuola di Paesaggio "Emilio Sereni" took place at the Istituto Alcide Cervi, concentrating on the relationship between agrarian systems and landscape. The initiative, supported by multiple Italian universities and recognized by the Ministry of Education, offered scholarships, professional credits, and opened participation to students, architects, agronomists, and public officials.
