Italian Deputy Emanuele Pozzolo Receives Death Threats on Social Media

Deputy Emanuele Pozzolo, regional coordinator of the Futuro Nazionale movement, posted a statement about the Berlin attack. A comment on his Facebook profile threatened to “blow up” him, his wife and children, prompting Pozzolo to report the post to police and call for an end to the online climate of hate.

The incident sparked further unrest: in Taranto a Futuro Nazionale information gazebo was overturned and damaged by a group of roughly fifteen people. Police intervened, restoring order after more than an hour of shouting and insults. The Digos is investigating, and movement spokesperson Francesco Battista described the assault on the gazebo.
