Italian municipalities announce school infrastructure projects

In Rocca di Papa, local officials have addressed concerns regarding the Giardino degli Ulivi nursery and primary school. Following a municipal resolution mentioning foundation issues, Francesco De Santis, president of the city council, clarified that the structural problems are not new and have existed since the building's construction. While the school remains safe, the canteen area has been precautionarily closed following an inspection by firefighters, leading to early dismissal for full-time classes. The municipality has proposed a project exceeding 500,000 euros to address these issues.

In Sondrio, the local administration has secured 300,000 euros in state funding through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). These funds, provided by the Ministry of Education and Merit, will support safety and accessibility upgrades at two locations: the Credaro primary school on via Bosatta and a primary school in Triangia. Projects include removing architectural barriers, such as installing ramps and modifying stairs to improve access for students with disabilities.
