In Verona, the redevelopment of the Giardini Pelisek in the Borgo Nuovo district has sparked local debate. The plan involves reorganizing the park into three distinct zones to manage different users. A fenced, regulated playground will be established in the northern section to separate children from pets and prevent littering. While officials argue these measures improve hygiene and order, some residents have expressed concerns regarding the aesthetic impact of the fencing and whether such barriers promote exclusion rather than community cohesion.
