Italian municipalities inaugurate new Pnrr-funded nursery schools
Municipalities in Italy have inaugurated new nursery school facilities funded in part by the Pnrr (National Recovery and Resilience Plan).
In Cremosano, the new Coccolab nursery was officially inaugurated on the site of a former elementary school. The project cost 1,245,000 euros and features high energy efficiency standards (Class A4). The facility, managed by the Progetto Itaca cooperative, currently serves 12 children with a total capacity for 24.
In Castenaso, the new Piccolo Blu nursery has opened, increasing capacity from 65 to 84 children aged 6 to 36 months. The project required an investment of over 4.3 million euros, including approximately 3 million euros from Pnrr funds. The sustainable building is equipped with photovoltaic systems, heat pumps, and underfloor heating. The site of the demolished previous building will be converted into a new public park.
