Italian municipalities inaugurate renovated synthetic sports fields

In Zocca, the FC Zocca football club celebrated its 75th anniversary with the official inauguration of the “Ferruccio Trabattoni” synthetic sports field. The event brought together local authorities, including Mayor Federico Ropa and regional assessor Roberta Frisoni, along with representatives from CRER and CONI. A video message from Vasco Rossi was shared during the ceremony, emphasizing the educational value of sport for youth development.

In Villagrande, the Zazzo Melis sports field is undergoing modernization following the completion of renovation works. Funded by a 600,000 euro regional grant obtained by Mayor Alessio Seoni, the project involved replacing the original 21-year-old synthetic turf with a latest-generation surface. The facility, which was originally established in 2005 following flood recovery efforts, is expected to be returned to local athletes in the coming weeks.
