Italian municipalities launch inclusivity and infrastructure initiatives

The municipality of Mantova met with Anmic Mantova, represented by President Maurizio Santisi and deputy mayor Chiara Sortino, to discuss a protocol of cooperation aimed at improving accessibility, rights protection and support for people with disabilities. Proposals include a permanent disability assistance desk, an observatory on disability issues, training for Disability Managers and the possible creation of a Disability Rights Ombudsman.

In Crema, mayor Fabio Bergamaschi and deputy mayor Cinzia Fontana held talks with representatives of the ASSieme alliance to review progress on the Gronda Nord project. The plan seeks to enhance mobility and competitiveness by constructing a new roundabout and linking roads, with work expected to start by 2027, supported by regional funding.
