Italian municipalities launch youth civic projects in Montelupone and Siena

In Montelupone, a two‑week "Ci Sto? Affare Fatica" project saw 14‑ to 20‑year‑olds repaint benches and playground equipment, and craft a red wooden heart for local events. Vice‑mayor Orietta Mogliani and mayor Rolando Pecora welcomed the participants, praising their enthusiasm and sense of responsibility.

In the nearby Siena province, the Pubblica Assistenza Montagnola Senese concluded its 2026 Campo Scuola di Protezione Civile, a week‑long training camp for local youths. Participants practiced emergency simulations and learned about fire, seismic and hydro‑geological risks. Coordinator Gianluca Bruchi highlighted the value of teamwork and civic duty, stating, "Vedere l’entusiasmo dei ragazzi e la loro voglia di mettersi in gioco è la soddisfazione più grande."

Both initiatives aim to foster active citizenship among young Italians through hands‑on community service and civil‑protection education.
