Italian officials roll out coastal and summer safety projects

In Sicily, the president of the I Commission for Institutional Affairs, Ignazio Abbate, inspected works funded by a €170,000 amendment to improve lighting on Regional Road 73 between the S.P. 119 and S.P. 95 junctions, and a €150,000 investment to create pedestrian pathways linking S. Maria del Focallo to Marina di Marza. The projects aim to enhance road safety and beach access for residents.

In the Marche region, police and Carabinieri intensified patrols in the towns of Numana, Marcelli di Numana and Sirolo as part of the "Estate insieme in sicurezza" initiative. Over the weekend, officers identified 18 individuals, two of whom have prior police records, but reported no major incidents. An information gazebo was also set up to inform citizens about health and safety services.

Both initiatives reflect coordinated efforts by local authorities to improve public safety ahead of the summer season.
