Italian Offshore Sailing Championship concludes in Gaeta

The Italian Offshore Sailing Championship (Edison Next 2026) held at Yacht Club Gaeta drew 32 boats across three races on the second day, with steady thermal winds of 10‑12 knots and gusts up to 13 knots. The competition featured two fleets (Group 1, boats 11‑13 m; Group 2, boats 9‑11 m) and introduced a scoring rule that discards each crew’s worst finish.

On the penultimate day a 25‑mile coastal race showcased the Gulf of Gaeta’s scenery and stronger breezes that rose from 8 to 15 knots. Group 1’s top three finishers were Morgan V, To Be and Ulika, while Group 2 was led by Trottolina Bellikosa Race, Next Gen and Sarchiapone Fuoriserie. The final day will determine the Italian champions and award trophies such as the Carlo de Zerbi and Tre Mari trophies.
