Italian parks host community environmental outreach events

On 27 June, the Modena‑based “Fiumi in Movimento” project kicked off at the Sassi di Roccamalatina. Organized by local Legambiente circles together with municipal partners, the event offered a free run‑and‑walk, environmental talks and a modest refreshment, inviting participants to explore the Modenese rivers and natural areas.

From 28 June to 12 July, the National Park of Pollino launched the #PollinoFuocoZero campaign across Calabria and Basilicata. Six public meetings in municipalities such as Morano Calabro, Belvedere Marittimo and Castrovillari aim to raise awareness and prevent forest fires by promoting responsible behaviour among residents, tourists and tourism operators.
