Italian police arrest minors with cocaine and cannabis in Galatina and Perugia

On 3 August 2026, the Italian State Police detained a 14‑year‑old in Galatina, Lecce province, after discovering a disposable e‑cigarette modified to conceal 28 doses of cocaine (about 12 g) and €250 in cash. The teenager was arrested for possession of narcotics with intent to traffic and transferred to a juvenile detention centre.

Later the same day, police in Perugia stopped an 18‑year‑old near the city’s bus station. A search revealed 17 g of cannabis sealed in cellophane, a precision electronic balance used for weighing drug portions, and €175 in cash. He was also charged with possession for the purpose of distribution. Both investigations are ongoing, with the seized substances and money confiscated by authorities.
