Italian police arrest suspects in Meta beach and Terni robbery cases

In Meta, a town on the Sorrento peninsula, police stopped two youths – one a minor – who had stolen two beachgoers' backpacks containing cash, personal items and a Bluetooth speaker. The suspects fled toward the nearby Circumvesuviana train station, where officers recovered the stolen belongings and returned them to the owners before charging the youths with theft.

In Terni, two foreign men aged 25 and 19 were arrested after a robbery near a fuel station on the Nera river. A Nigerian resident was lured, robbed of money and a bicycle, and then assaulted when he tried to retrieve his cash. The victims received medical treatment, and part of the stolen property was recovered. Both suspects were placed in custody pending further judicial review.
