Italian police order closure of venues for serving alcohol to minors

The venue was fined and the owner referred to the judicial authority.

In Naples, municipal officials enforced a new nightlife ordinance that caps opening hours and prohibits alcohol sales after a set time. Police sealed three establishments in the Chiaia district after catching them selling drinks beyond permitted hours and to underage customers. Local business groups protested, arguing that the measures threaten the city’s night‑time tourism and economy.
