Italian police raids result in arrests for fraud and weapons offenses

In Pescara, State Police arrested a 45‑year‑old woman who was serving a nine‑month sentence for fraud after locating her during territorial checks in the Rancitelli district. In the Sila area near Trepidò, Carabinieri uncovered a sealed packet containing 68 cartridges of various calibres, which were seized as part of an intensified control operation. During the same sweep, authorities executed a court order for a 37‑year‑old man from Cotronei, sentencing him to four years in prison and a fine, and transferred him to the Crotone prison. The operation inspected over 200 people and 100 vehicles, resulting in numerous traffic violations and drug‑related sanctions.
