Italian policymakers push reforms to simplify business bureaucracy in Sicily and Sardinia

On 20 June, former minister Maria Elena Boschi participated in a CNA‑organized round‑table in Alcamo, Sicily, to discuss the impact of regulations on small businesses. The event included the launch of the book “Si fa presto a dire impresa – La gabbia delle regole” and addressed proposals for reducing administrative burdens on artisans, entrepreneurs and professionals.

A day earlier in Olbia, Sardinia, the L’Unione Sarda group presented the second edition of the “Programma Us”, a training initiative created with partners such as SDA Bocconi, Università di Cagliari and Deloitte. The programme aims to equip local entrepreneurs with tools to navigate bureaucracy, adopt new technologies, and develop clear growth strategies.

Both events highlight a coordinated effort across Italian regions to streamline procedures, promote entrepreneurship and improve competitiveness of small and medium‑sized enterprises.
