Italian President Mattarella emphasizes protection of National Health Service

During the opening of the Festival of Regions and Autonomous Provinces, Italian President Sergio Mattarella identified the protection of the National Health Service (SSN) as an absolute priority. He described the public healthcare system as inestimable and highlighted the importance of using PNRR funds to modernize the country's infrastructure.

Mattarella also addressed the challenges posed by artificial intelligence and information manipulation. He called for rapid and effective regulation of AI to prevent misuse that could undermine democracy and fundamental rights, noting that the European Union is currently at the forefront of international regulation in this sector.
