Italian primary schools renovated with PNRR funds

The Carlo Collodi primary school in Italy will undergo structural repairs and safety upgrades starting 29 June, with works expected to finish by the end of August. The intervention, costing €200,000 and financed through a ministerial PNRR grant, focuses on consolidating foundations, replacing degraded roof slab sections and removing fire‑safety risks.

In the town of Fulgatore, the Rubino preschool, part of a municipal programme that includes eight schools in Trapani, is entering its final phase. The €1.511 million project, also funded by the national recovery plan, has completed structural consolidation and now proceeds with painting and finishing works, aiming to reopen in September. Overall, more than €13 million is being spent to modernise and seismic‑proof school buildings across the area. Engineer Orazio Amenta noted, “Hanno preso in carico un edificio in condizioni strutturali molto critiche e lo hanno riqualificato completamente.”
