Italian Provinces Reopen Key Roads Ahead of Summer Traffic
The Province of Teramo in Abruzzo announced that Provincial Road 29/B through Vallescura, Silvi, will reopen to traffic at 15:00 on Tuesday 21 July after a prolonged closure caused by landslide‑related safety concerns. While normal flow will resume, the province will maintain certain traffic restrictions to ensure safety on the vulnerable slope.
In Liguria, the Province of Savona said it will scale back construction activity on its main corridors linking Piedmont and the Riviera for the summer season. The double‑track section of SP 29 at Montemoro has been restored, and the viaduct on SP 28 bis at Valzemola (Roccavignale) was quickly reopened after an accident involving a crane. Only urgent works and public‑utility projects will continue during the last week of August, aiming to improve traffic fluidity for the expected surge of summer tourists.
