Italian Red Cross launches free youth civil‑protection camp in Pianello Val Tidone

The Italian Red Cross – Piacenza Committee is opening registrations for a free summer camp titled “Anch’io sono la Protezione Civile”. The week‑long program runs from 1 to 6 September in the Chiarone area of Pianello Val Tidone and is aimed at children aged 10 to 13.

Participants will engage in exercises, games and discussions to learn personal safety, environmental stewardship and community care. Activities are run by the local civil‑protection group, including water‑rescue operators and a canine unit, with support from the Carabinieri, forest guards and fire‑fighters.
