Italian Red Cross signs volunteer partnership and deploys medical teams for summer concerts

The Italian Red Cross (Croce Rossa Italiana) signed a protocol of understanding with CSVnet, the national association of volunteer service centers, on 28 June in Solferino. The agreement aims to strengthen volunteering across Italy by promoting joint initiatives, training, research, inter‑generational renewal and a national coordination hub, especially ahead of the International Volunteer Year 2026 and the designation of Verona as the Italian Capital of Volunteering in 2027.

At the same time, the Ancona committee of the Italian Red Cross will provide health and safety coverage for a series of large summer events at the Arena in Città. It will deploy 26 operators and 11 rescue vehicles for concerts featuring Subsonica, Francesco Gabbani, Emma Marrone and others, ensuring medical assistance for thousands of attendees.
