Italian regions advance local infrastructure projects amid community demands

In Umbria, the regional administration has completed the main works on the Montemolino and Poggio Aquilone bridges, with final testing scheduled and traffic reopening expected in September. The project, praised by Lega Umbria leader Enrico Melasecche, adopted a simplified, cost‑effective solution that preserved public funds and the environment.

Meanwhile, in Jesi (Marche), the Erbarella‑San Pietro Martire neighbourhood committee, chaired by Jhonny Pigliapoco, reported that despite a series of public meetings, fund‑raising events and a 2024 technical report, many local problems remain unresolved. Residents continue to complain about a damaged road surface, deteriorated sidewalks, poor lighting, neglected public green areas, parking congestion and the need for restoration of the historic San Marco church.

Both cases illustrate ongoing local‑government efforts in Italy to finalize infrastructure improvements while facing community pressure for concrete and timely actions.
