Italian regions allocate over 62 million euros for rural development
Italian regions Veneto, Piemonte, and Valle d’Aosta have announced a combined total of over 62 million euros in funding for rural development under the 2023-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
In Veneto, the regional government has prepared a 60 million euro package, supported by 10.674 million euros in regional co-financing. This initiative, proposed by Agriculture Councilor Dario Bond, aims to boost competitiveness and sustainability. Key allocations include 20 million euros for productive investments, 14 million euros to support young farmers through settlement premiums, and 12 million euros for environmental, climate, and animal welfare initiatives, such as water conservation and emission reduction.
Piemonte has identified beneficiaries for a call dedicated to natural agroecosystem elements. Meanwhile, Valle d’Aosta will open a 1.05 million euro window starting August 24 for projects focused on improving mountain pastures.
