Catania health authority launches AspConTe online oncology screening platform

The Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale (ASP) of Catania has expanded its digital service “AspConTe” with a new section dedicated to oncology screening. Citizens can now view and download negative results of mammography, HPV/Pap tests and other cancer‑screening exams directly from the website after authenticating with SPID. The platform also allows women in the eligible age groups to book appointments for mammography and HPV/Pap tests online, choosing the clinic and date that suit them.

When a result becomes available, users receive an SMS notification. If the result is negative, it can be downloaded from the portal; if positive, the report is not posted online and the patient is contacted by phone to arrange further diagnostic steps. Paper copies remain available at local consultori or mailed to the patient’s address upon request.
