Italian regions launch food festivals to boost culinary tourism
In Campania, the regional tourism office held the “Praesentia . Gusto di Campania Divina” event at the Reggia di Quisisana in Castellammare di Stabia. Tourism assessor Vincenzo Maraio highlighted pasta as a cultural icon and promoted an experiential tourism model modeled on the Andalusian approach, aiming to link local gastronomic excellence with international visitor flows.
In the Marche region, the Urbino Food Fusion (UFF 26) festival took place in the garden of the former Monastery of Santa Chiara in Urbino. Organized by the CNA of Pesaro and Urbino with municipal support, the event featured the Posta Vecchia restaurant presenting a menu that blends Japanese and Mexican influences using strictly local, seasonal ingredients. Both initiatives seek to showcase regional culinary identity, support small producers, and attract tourists through innovative food experiences.
