Italian regions launch youth funding programmes

The Province of Asti in Piedmont is rolling out the "Giovani in Equili…brio" project, a €110,000 initiative aimed at young people aged 14 to 35. The programme will offer listening workshops, social and sport activities and involve local administrations and cooperatives such as Motiva and Animazione Valdocco. Province president Simone Nosenzo and youth‑policy councillor Carlo Mancuso say the goal is to build a network of opportunities and strengthen community participation.

In Calabria, the regional government has announced a €400,000 grant scheme for aspiring fishers and aquaculture entrepreneurs. The programme, part of the National FEAMPA 2021‑2027 plan, provides up to €20,000 per project to applicants aged 18 to 40. Regional agriculture and fisheries assessor Gianluca Gallo stresses that the funding is intended to revitalize the local fishing sector, encourage generational renewal and create new jobs along the coast. Applications are accepted via the region’s online platform until 28 September 2026.
