Italian religious cultural programmes launch in Abruzzo and Marche regions

In Abruzzo, the Passionist Friars at the Sanctuary of San Gabriele dell'Addolorata have introduced the "Ricostruisci il cuore" programme, a series of courses and retreats designed to explore physical, emotional and spiritual wounds. The three‑stage course, which ran from April to June, included sessions on sexuality, self‑esteem and relationship with God, and will be offered again next year alongside other events such as a pilgrimage in August.

Separately, the "Percorsi culturali piceni – Itinerari inclusivi sulle tracce di San Francesco" project has begun in the Marche region, featuring ten cultural events across nine municipalities to commemorate the eighth centenary of St Francis of Assisi's death. The inclusive itinerary, supported by local authorities and the Foundation Cassa di Risparmio di Ascoli Piceno, provides LIS interpreting for deaf participants and highlights churches, convents, eremi and museums linked to the Franciscan heritage, promoting sustainable tourism and community involvement.
