Italian schools launch new emotional and peace education networks

New educational networks are being established in Italy to focus on emotional intelligence and peace culture. In Rome, the National Network for Emotional Education was officially presented at the Chamber of Deputies. This network, formed in December 2025, aims to create a stable collaboration between Italian schools regarding emotional education, teacher training, research, and didactic innovation. Founding members include the Istituto Comprensivo Grosseto 4, the I. C. “Carducci” of Gaeta, and the Istituto Comprensivo “Don Lorenzo Milani” of Aquileia.

Simultaneously, in the Umbria region, the “Rete umbra delle Scuole per la Pace” (Umbrian Network of Schools for Peace) has launched. Supported by the Province of Perugia, the project spans from kindergarten to high school, aiming to promote dialogue, respect, and active citizenship. The initiative seeks to foster a culture of peace among younger generations, positioning schools as fundamental references for cultivating peace as a concrete value and lifestyle.
